Finally the ole girl is in the yard for a much needed refit. She is reported to be in the beginning stages of a six month refit in Saint-Nazaire, France. Can’t wait to she her with a fresh new coat of paint… If this is the case, then this debunks the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie wedding onboard. I bet the crew are relieved!

I was on a yacht that had a 5 month refit in Spain and they offered us half-time pay and we all took vacation. Pretty good deal! However, some of my friends are on a refit right now and they have to stay and work while the ship is in the yard. Depends on the vessel and its management.
I wonder if the declining market is putting some pressure on Paul Allen’s yachts? Having three yachts has to be a huge monthly expense. Maybe at his level of wealth, it does not matter if the market is up or down – usually the mega wealthy make just as much money either way.
