I have heard from several sources that the Octopus made the trip over the Atlantic and is now visiting the East Coast of Florida. We have yet to see the new paint job, but have a source on the yacht that says, “It seriously looks like a different boat!” Before this yard period she was in awful shape. I guess this is expected after sailing for so many years without a break or repaint. Thankfully the owner bit the bullet and gave the okay for some extended yard time.
Hopefully we will get the chance to make it over to the U.S. to get some shots of her.
If anyone has any new shots and would like to post them here – simply post them on www.yachttrails.com. We have a partnership with that site and are allowed to use any Octopus shots on there for this blog.
